lesson 2 thought question 2

Three creepy witches with beards are definitely nightmare material and it would seem that's the case for poor Banquo. What is it that people do when they have a problem they can't handle?  1st they deny it( like when someone tells you that you spelled a word wrong) and 2nd they share it with others( like A.A meetings). When given the opportunity Banquo tells Macbeth," All's well(denial). I dreamt last night of the three weird sisters(sharing):" I believe that's reason to think that Banquo knows he's got a problem. Macbeth on the other hand denies and ignores, the sign of something to hide." I think not of them" is his response to Banquo's revelation, Because unlike Banquo he wants to hide that the witches have made him ambitious to the point of murder. 

lesson 2 thought question 1

"The air nimbly and sweetly recommends its self unto our gentle senses" I would say that king Duncan has a high opinion of Inverness castle... Or at least its air. Because Duncan is the king you can't really blame Banquo for immediately concurring with him whether he agrees or not. However the way gives such wonderful examples for his agreement makes me think it's quite possible that he actually does agree rather than is trying to butter him up. It's a little funny how Duncan speaks so highly of the castle that he is brutally murdered in.

            "You should be women, and yet your beards forbid me to interpret that you are so" I think that's a pretty blunt way for Banquo to say that the witches were some unnatural and foul creatures. However while Banquo might be disgusted and Macbeth too, Macbeth is far more curious and even convinced they might speak the truth. Banquo is immediately suspicious when it seems that witches knew some of the future saying,"can the devil speak true?" which also shows that he believes that the witches are servants of the devil. Because Banquo sees the beards on the witches, showing that they seem both male and female, it kind of connects how lady Macbeth convinces Macbeth to commit murder by making him feel unmanly when he dislikes the notion of guilt. As well as how she feels that she is worthy of being a man because of the willing brutality of he demeanor(giving her a kind of beard of her own).

          To be honest I have pretty much no idea what the three witches are talking about in the beginning of scene 3 but here's my best guess. I want to say that they were amusing themselves by discussing how they will extract revenge on some poor dude who's fat wife wasn't very nice to witch number one, but being Shakespeare there's probably more to it. After the sailors wife rejects one of the witches, a viewer would assume she got what she wanted, the witch goes on her way leaving the wife seemingly unharmed. However the wife will eventually get the horrible news concerning her husband. in a smiler fashion Macbeth and Banquo are a bit disgusted by the witches and then receive a prediction that fuels Macbeth's lust for power. Eventually resulting in his demise along with many other innocent victims. Who know!

A.    One of the first areas that Ms D’s class info will be most vital is college essays.

1.      Many friends and relatives,  several of whom are in collage, that have that know my mom is a comp expert but haven’t taken her class will ask her for advise and help when needing to write an essay…

2.      My cousin Michael is one of those people who must send his paper to my mother to make sure it’s okay but those who have already taken her class can be confident in their writing abilities

B.      Another life skill that Ms D teaches is Peer Review

1.      At some point or another someone will ask you to check their work on a report, essay, book…

                                          III.            BODY TWO-realistic work load

A.    Ms D always considers students available time for homework.

2.      one week there is only one week between classes so we only had to finish our outline for coming paper

B.      another perk to her homework is that how she gives it to her students

1.      know how different some minds can be, Ms D always gives our homework verbally(telling us), visually(writing it down), and Blankly(giving handouts and showing us what we will do),

                                       IV.            BODY THREE-great sense of humor

A.    All teachers have their own funny or not so funny quirks and Ms Ds is most seen through her random “rabbit trails” of thoughts

1.      Almost all the time she is in more than one discussion at a time, like when she randomly announced that she had found a good math curriculum while teaching a comp class though she’d meant to say it to the teachers discussing math curriculums IN THE OTHER ROOM!

B.      Unlike many teachers she appreciates witty, but not rude, remarks and funny, but not stupid, puns.

Whom often found himself unbearably board

So in search of some fun he strode into town
And while searching around he saw a quick flash of brown

He sprang  into action swinging his weapon
And soon the flash of brown was sliced into seven

Blood squirted everywhere and fur was aflyin
But more flashes came and more were diein

After that day the man was quite famous
He began to be called the mighty sir lamous

And that my good friends was the very first day
That a pest control man came by our towns way.
